BREAKS AND BRIDGES

A Disco Mix Club mastermix, by Les Adams. Broadcast on LWR (London Weekend Radio) 92.5 FM, circa 1985. Some fine enjoyable tracks in here, instrumental breaks and bridges as the title suggests. Plenty of stereo interference whistles and fuzz. When recording from FM the choice is either a clean mono recording or a whistly stereo one.  This recording is just under acceptable stereo threshold. It’s also necessary to make constant adjustments to the ribbon antenna, precisely pinning it to the wall and ceiling for the optimum signal, then relocating it for the next station.

Big up Peter Missingham for naming these tracks: Donald Byrd – Love Has Come Around, Leon Haywood – Don’t Push It, Don’t Force It, Level 42 – Turn It On, Leon Haywood – Don’t Push It, Don’t Force It, Human League – Don’t You Want Me, The Whispers – And The Beat Goes On, Chic – Good Times, Forrest – Rock The Boat, Sharon Redd – Beat The Street, NV – It’s Alright, Shannon – Let The Music Play.

UPDATE: MarkyDMC sent a scan of the DMC Cassette for January 1984 and there’s a mix by Les Adams called Breaks and Bridges on there. You get the credit for naming this one.
