Transmitted on 94FM, here’s an excerpt from the Max LX show on London’s Kiss. It was broadcast in 1986 and recorded onto one of TDK’s finest chrome cassettes – the scintillating SA-X90. Go on – zoom the photo to appreciate its loveliness.

Max LX partnered with Dave VJ for much of his radio and recording work. They (plus Herbie) were members of Mastermind, the DJ collaboration best known for the beat-perfect Streetsounds Electro LP mixes. This live twin-spin segues the bootleg vinyl Feelin’ James on TD Records with Fly Girl by the Boogie Boys. Nice ground-breaking breaks interspersed with some chat from the man himself.

Additional: Maria Georgiou was a fly girl from Harrow’s Lowlands College.
