DMC CHAMPIONSHIP 1985
This is prolific DJ Roger Johnson’s 1985 Disco Mix Club championship mix – winner of the competition’s first event. Turntablism standards had already been set higher by the time this one was made, however DMC was more about continuous segue than scratching at the time. RJ’s mix is from the April 85 mixes LP, as the live show wasn’t recorded! It contains some nice tunes, including an extended segment of Sucker DJ by Dimples Dee.
